Closed the Door

Well, due to being surrounded by unprofessional and unprofitable behavior, not to mention the inability to pursue a position of higher economic wages, I have excused myself from my crappy hardware store job. In other words, after recieving no hours and being told straight up that I would not be promoted, I have left the Home Depot. I am hoping that something comes my way real frigging soon 'cause man, I ain't got no money.

I am still happy with the depot as a company, and I will continue to spend money there, but after continuously trying to get promoted and having wasted a lot of energy trying to climb a broken ladder, fiscal responsibility required me to abandon those efforts and focus on finding anything better at this point.

How did I know I wasn't getting promoted? My district HR lady said I am not currently a manager and that means she won't help me find a better position until I become one, and my store manager specifically told me, I am not opening your resume because I will not promote you in my store. So, I am off. I wasn't getting hours anyway so it's not a huge loss, it just sucks that I spent two years thinking education was important to my advancememt and it is absolutely not true.
